Toronto's Coyote conflict
#2
The situation is still ongoing.

https://www.ctvnews.ca/toronto/politics/...incidents/

One thing this new article  points out is the loss of a green space just west of the area of coyote conflict.
A couple thousand trees were cut down and an area fenced off along the lake. It is part of an unpopular government project for the land.
That area and its trees was home to wildlife. The coyote problem intensified after the area was cleared. Birds that came back this spring had no where to nest. Animals lost their hibernation sites. There was probably food and shelter in the area. Now the coyotes need to bother  people because there is no where for them to go.

We need to plant more trees and have more green spaces. They didn't even assess the environmental impact of the tree cutting or the ridiculous plan of turning parkland into an unwanted luxury spa of the lake shore.
