The three legged polar bear was spotted in 2021 by the Churchill Wild's Seal River Heritage Lodge. She was about three and they called her Tripod. She was not expected to survive.
She just showed up again, with a healthy cub and looking very healthy herself. The staff can't believe it. Against all odds, Tripod is surviving and thriving.

Tripod is a survivor alright. She is not just caring for herself, she has a cub.
Polar bears are strong and perhaps adaptable bears. Having a bear like this survive is a sign of hope for all polar bears.
Maybe they can beat the odds against climate change.
The Churchill Wild's Seal River Lodge sounds like an interesting place. It is certainly remote.

That is a long way north, but it would be so interesting and strangely beautiful.
