Adopted dog turns out to be deceased pet's father

When a family lost their beloved dog they were not sure they wanted another pet. Then they saw an old dog on a shelter web site who looked just like their deceased pet. So they adopted him. He was so like their original dog that they had some DNA work done. The new dog was the father of their original dog.

How beautiful that they were able to give the father of their dog a happy home in his last years.
It is such a beautiful connection. It is a little bit like they still have their beloved dog with them. 
A part of him is there in his father. They  did an act of kindness for an old dog and the old dog is giving back some of what they lost. 
It is one of those beautiful things that happens unexpectantly sometimes.
