Mountain gorilla gives birth to twins.

Virunga Park in eastern Congo is home to the Mountain Gorillas. Mafuko, a 22 year old female, has just given birth to twins. Both boys seem healthy and doing well.
Mafuko has given birth to 7 offspring. Mountain Gorillas are endangered and twins is a population boost.

Well done Mafuko! She is singlehandedly increasing the size of her group and her species.
Her mother was killed by armed men in 2007.  Mafuko joined the Bageni family 6 years latter. Her offspring have helped the family 
become one of the largest in the region. I wish her every success in raising the boys.
