First ever Turkey Vulture Festival

Port Hope Ontario is holding a first Turkey Vulture Festival on Sept 27. 2026.
It sounds like it will be fun and it will be a chance to learn about Turkey Vultures.

Turkey Vultures are a remearkable bird.They perform a valuable service for us by cleaning up dead aanimals.
They prevent the spread of disease by what they do.

I have never seen one up close, but i have see a group of them circling above the river.
Something  must have died. I hope the festival goes well and many people learn about our
beautiful Turkey Vultures.
