Water bowl makes dog sick
#1
A woman's dog became very ill. The vet was unable to find a cause, even after many tests. Zilla developed Pancreatitis. The woman searched for a possible cause.
In the end she found that her dog's water bowl had a coating that was flaking off. Her dog had swallowed some of that coating. Her other dog was healthy and did not drink from that bowl.
When she posted online about the bowls, other dog owners replied that they had encountered the same problem. Some of the dogs had died.
She wants the company to stop selling the bowls.

Water dishes and food dishes can be tricky. Just because a bowl is fancy and sold as a pet dish, doesn't mean it is safe.
I prefer human grade dishes, preferably ceramic or glass.  If you have one of the dangerous water dishes, please stop using it.
If you even suspect your dish isn't safe, just get rid of it. You can pick up beautiful glass baking dishes at thrift stores for good prices. You know they are safe
because they are glass and they are sold for human use. They are easy to keep clean too.
