Puppy gets new feet

When I lived in Edmonton we had a full week of -40 and it is like nothing you ever imagined. They advised people to stay home. When I had to go out, I had a mesh wool scarf that covered my face completely and I looked out through the holes. It was so cold that ice crystals hung in the air. If you breath deeply at that temperature you will frost your lungs.
The air is so cold it burns.

I had a big Hudson's Bay Parka and heavy boots etc. They mean it when they say that exposed skin freezes in 5 min.

The puppy only survived because he was found right away. They don't say, but I assume the mother ended up at the same shelter and was adopted. I hope so.
