Too many of the fires we hear about are from deep frying. It is very dangerous to do in your own kitchen. I never cook like that. We had a special heavy pan for deep frying when I was a kid. Also we never left the pan alone.
It is terrific how the community is helping them. I am not surprized about the reptile store helping them. The reptile community rescues its own. We look after each other pets and generally rehome anything that needs a new home.
That was an amazing image of a firefighter giving oxygen to a bearded dragon. I just hope the reptiles survive long term. Snakes would not handle smoke inhalation too well. They only have one lung.
