A chicken slaughter house responds
#4
Quote:This appears to be human nature. Close one's eyes to a situation until education and/or public pressure makes one wake up. I don't mean to sound cynical, but have seen this force in operation all over the place, all the time.

You are not being cynical, you are just being realistic about what we are working with. We can get corporations to change for the better if they realize that public opinion wants it.
The CEO who was fired after he kicked a dog in an elevator(on camera of course) was fired because we found out and petitioned against him. He wasn't actually fired for the dog's sake.

We can't make them care, but we can make them act like they care if we apply enough pressure. It's imperfect, but if it prevents animal suffering, we will accept it.
