Later in the day, Dora, his mate laid an egg and now she is sitting on the nest. Virgil is being very protective and sits near her when I go near the cage.

I think I saw him on the nest while she was feeding. I am not sure. They look so much alike.
I have no idea how long the eggs take to hatch.
I don't know if they will hatch.

I know what they say about counting your chickens before they hatch. I can't even see if there is more than one egg. So I am guardedly excited.
