People can be under the misapprehension that turning domesticated animals loose works! Of course it never does! They become roadkill, fox dinner....etc. They do not have the genetic programming to live wild. "Domestic" animals have been bred for a long time NOT to be wild.
Thank goodness there is some attention to them and some help. Edmonton is doing well there. Goodness knows who that "Edmonton Person" was who caused that mayhem in the first place, though!
