People are distressed enough by the flooding and the need to evacuate. They will have lost many personal things that can't be replaced. Losing pets as well would be too much to bear. I love the attitude of the rescuers. They are willing to help anything.
We learned from Katrina.
We can't stop natural disasters from happening, but we can handle them well. I think people are being more prepared for things so they can get their animals to safety.
Who can forget the courageous young woman who rode her horse to safety from the Fort McMurray wildfire when there was no other way to get her to safety.

You have to love people who will do so much for their animals and you have to love and respect rescuers who do so much to protect animals in a crisis.
