Animal Lifetime Emergency Response Team

The fires in B.C. are still raging and there are many people and pets caught in emergency evacuation situations. Fortunately there are groups who are ready to help. The Animal Lifetime Emergency Response Team is one such group. For the people in their community it means knowing that at leas their pets are safe while they flee the fire. Some will have homes to came back to and some will not, but at least they will have their pets.

This has been a dangerous summer for people in British Columbia. There have been over a hundred fires at once and some have combined into super fires.  The fire fighting teams are doing their best. When it is all over the land is going to look very different for years to come.

In the midst of this there have been amazing stories of animal rescues and the tremendous dedication of people who are giving so much to help displaced pets. Right now B.C. is a land of heroes.
