In the midst of the worst fire situation in the history of BC, there have been some incredible pet miracles.

Fifty two days missing, 17 years old, lost in a fire zone and the only home he has known now gone, Socks is one lucky cat and clearly very resourceful. If only he could tell us his story. I am sure it is a good one.

I have been to some of the places and it is hard to picture the areas burned out. I know it will regrow and be a better renewed forest, but it must look bleak right now.
It may be some time before the impact is known, but the loss of wildlife and wildlife habitats are horrific.
