30 more Hurricane Harvey dogs to Ontario

That is the most sensible idea. It makes you wonder why they didn't do that before the hurricane struck. If there are rescues and shelters which don't have many dogs in other states, or Canada, then moving the strays makes perfect sense!
So many US shelters are not "no kill" however. Numbers in, numbers out, all within a short space of time. It makes me wonder if it is easier/cheaper to euthanise them, than it is to organise their re-location? That would indeed be a sad and grisly thought but it wouldn't surprise me.

It is still shocking to me that any city has a stray dog problem. The odd few -fair enough....but over-run with stray dogs?? And cats? It is always the fault of humans.
