Danish Zoo reaches new low.

The zoo is a house of horrors. They are not just asking for "food" to be donated. They are asking for pets and letting the children come and see what happens to their pets. That is just sick.

As you said this is not like the natural predator prey cycle. These are little animals that depended on these people for care and are now being handed over to a predator. It is a betrayal of the trust that we have with our pets.

Also it is a bitter lesson for a child. The child has cared about the pet and now it gets a horrible death. Maybe the child still cares for the pet. That never stopped a nasty parent from killing a pet. Maybe the child has  lost interest and will at some point feel it was their fault the pet died like that.  Maybe they get the message that when you don't want something anymore it is okay to dispose of it in as nasty a way as you want. There are no good lessons for a child in this. 

I can't even imagine what the zoo people are thinking. They are a sick bunch.
