Pet robot pillow as a pet replacement
#3
Quote:Also, what is to stop that artificial intelligence cat from malfunctioning, getting into cahoots with Amazon Echo, and ordering massive quantities of kitty litter from Amazon? It may have no head but it might have world dominance fantasies.
Even without  a head a robo-cat is a scary thing. I don't even want to think what it could do.

Quote:Can you imagine going to a business meeting and saying, "I have thought of a super new item we can manufacture. A headless cat robot pillow!"

And everyone clapping and saying, "What a splendid idea! Let's get to it then!"
You have to wonder about those meetings. Someone had to suggest it and you are right other people agreed with the idea.
That just confirms my feeling that most meetings are a waste of time. If a headless robo-cat is the best they can produce, they should have all gone golfing.

Quote: A proper cat, with a head, and maybe one that purrs mechanically would make more sense. But even then I wouldn't want one. Nope. [Image: smiley4.gif]
If someone wants something that acts just like a cat and looks just like a cat, why not just get a cat. There are plenty of cats in shelters who would be happy to pretend to be a robo-cat if that is what it takes to get a home.
