I remember back in the late 80s, my husband and I found a cat with its head trapped inside a discarded can. It had passed away of course. That was a very sad event. We buried it with full honours in our garden. We could never find out whose cat it was. It may have been one of the feral cats from the farm. Now there is a big stone and a bird-bath on top of its grave.
People throw all sorts of rubbish out of car windows -even on my lane. I pick those things up and either re-cycle them with my stuff, or burn them in the field with my papers etc. So much of it is dangerous for wildlife.
Why do we treat our trash so irresponsibly? What DO we think happens to it when we chuck it away??
