Trash kills animals
#3
People act like trash is no  longer their responsibility once it leaves their hands. Yet look what happens to it. Animals are damaged and even die because of trash.

It is very sad about the cat you found. It died because someone did not dispose of trash safely. I am glad you gave the cat full honours and remember it even now. I wish we could track down the people who discarded the trash and return it with the animal that died because of them. Even sending a picture would make a point.

We need to change the nature of packaging so that we don't use as much plastic. The actual design of the plastic needs to be changed. The rings that they put around canned drinks cause a lot of damage to animals. They crawl through the ring and get stuck. Once they start growing there is a serious problem. The ring doesn't expand.

This turtle is one of the lucky survivors.

This video makes a good point about plastic bags and sea creatures.

Almost worse than bags is straws. The poor turtle.

We have to change out habits and very soon. We are going to find that plastics and garbage start getting into our food and water.  The whole planet is drowning in plastic.  Recycling is a start. Less packaging would help. "Plastic" that would be biodegradable would make a difference. We have to do something and we have to do it soon. The animals being harmed by trash are a warning to us of the mess problem we have created.
