Hills Pet Food lax in food testing
#2
Yes they should have had the products tested before they were sent out.

Hills had a huge list of recalled products and I am very sorry to hear some animals died as a result of their negligence.

Sadly, they are not alone. I have seen alerts now for so many other dog and cat foods manufactured by other companies, which had to be recalled owing to high and dangerous levels of vitamin D. The lists go back into the winter and beyond!

Is this because the companies are trying to cut corners financially? In which case it is self-defeating as news of animals dying from eating these foods more or less guarantees no one will go near them for quite some time at least!
