Massive fish deaths in Australia

I think this is the worst ecological disaster the world has ever seen. The vegetation is gone. The animals are gone. Now the fish are gone. I understand that the insects are gone. It is going to take a lot of years for the land to recover. There will be recovery, but it might be a very different kind of land. It will certainly take a lot of time for the land to heal. If even one flower blooms in the remains of the land it will be a beautiful sign of hope. I don't know if any seeds survived that can germinate.
