Student farmers sent the animals they raised to a sanctuary.

Student farmers invest time and money in raising farm animals. At the end of the season they get their money back by selling the animals for slaughter.
This year some student farmers couldn't do that to the animals they had cared for. They contacted a farm animal sanctuary and arranged for them to take the animals.

We have encountered this kind of situation before. It hasn't ended well for the animals. In one case I believe the school fed the animals to the students. It was nasty.
This time there is a beautiful loving ending. The students cared for the animals. In many ways the animals were the teachers that allowed the students to learn animal care. After trusting the students, the animals were then sent to a place where they could live out their lives in peace. The students showed that they valued the lives of the animals more than they valued any money they could have received. It in good to know that there are people like these students in the world. 
They make the world a better place.
