The Parakeets of London England.

There are wild parakeets living in London England. Since the ring necked parakeet is native to India there must be a story behind their presence.  No one knows exactly what it is, but there are theories.  All involve a small number of birds being released, but there are many birds in London now.

None of the stories explain why there are feral parrots in other places in England.

Parrots just seem to have adapted and settled in all over the world.
They are funny, intelligent colourful  little birds and they are doing well every where they get established. 
The danger is that they will push out local wild birds. They will not fill the niche that the local wild birds have in the ecosystem. This could negatively impact how the ecosystem functions. We won't  know their impact until  it has already happened. It would be better if they were not living in vast numbers in cities around the world.  I do not know how this is going to work out.
