Desperate stray cat paws at the window for help

On a cold winder day a woman in Quebec was surprised to see a cat pawing at her window. The poor cat was in terrible shape. Cold and hunger were enough to kill him, but he had many other things as well. She quickly took a picture and called her local shelter for help. He was rushed to the vet where good care saved his life.
He was placed in a foster home to recover and he is going to stay there. He is now a happy cat in a loving home with the beautiful name, Aslan.

Clearly Aslan was not a street cat. He was someone's pet. Since nobody claimed him they must have abandoned him. It was cold winter and he wasn't well. It was terribly cruel to just turn him loose. There was a shelter nearby that would have taken him. They ended up taking him anyhow. How cruel and cold hearted would you have to be to turn an animal loose knowing it could easily die of the cold , after days of suffering.  I hope someone they know sees the article and shows it to them. They discarded Aslan like he was garbage, but he is now someone else's beloved pet.
