Pet mystery boxes shipped in China

The latest craze in China is to order a Pet Mystery Box. Some random pet is then packed up and shipped across the country in an unsuitable shipping container.
These pets are sent without food or water and they do not even have air to breath.
The Chengdu Love Home Animal Rescuing Centre arrived at the delivery station and found 156 dogs and cats packed in crates wrapped in plastic. Four had already died. The rescued animals are being cared for at the rescue centre and will be available for adoption later.
The shipping centre has been shut down pending and inquiry.

The whole idea of shipping an animal like this is outrageous.  The animals are not healthy in the first place. They are not safely shipped and when they are received they do poorly. They do worse if they are rejected by the person who ordered them.
The whole idea of a pet mystery box  is terrible.  It is one thing to order a surprise package of soap or even clothing.  That stuff is just merchandise. 
These pet mystery boxes are live animals and they should not be treated the same as merchandise.
I hope they can shut this down before more animals die in transit and after arrival.
