George the tortoise gets a wheel chair.

George Baily the Sulcata Tortoise was born with a metabolic bone disease that prevented his back legs from developing properly. The best he could do was drag himself around. He is 11 years old and 70 pounds. He could live to 100 years and grow to 200 pounds. In order to improve his life, his owner approached 
Walkin' Pets. They produced a wheel chair that works for a tortoise. He took to the wheelchair right away and now he is wheeling himself all over.

I always love it when a handicapped pet finds a way to overcome their problem. George could wear out a number of wheelchairs in his life time. Thanks to the wheel chair he will be active enough to wear them out. I think when he reaches 200 pounds they may need stronger wheels.
