It was a diplomatic car! That says it all, really.
The vacillating attitude of the UK Govt is hard to understand. We are talking about a privately funded charter flight, which will take more people than otherwise possible. There is no downside.
As I said previously, Wallace should spend his time checking on the backgrounds of those being transported, not labelling privately funded rescue efforts as "bol..cks". Animals pose no security threat at all and do not stab or shoot guns. A few very dangerous persons have been found amongst those seeking to get out. One person, in France, was rescued but put under surveillance because of security concerns. The response? He left the area and dodged surveillance. He has been caught again, but the risk is there. The animals pose no risk at all!
