Coyote cull in Vancouver park

Stanley Park in Vancouver has seen an increase in the number of coyotes and in the number of coyote attacks against humans. There have been 45 attacks and some of the people were children. So yes, there is a problem. The cause of the problem of course is people feeding the coyotes.
The Vancouver Park Board came up with the expected solution. They plan to cull 35 coyotes. The park has been fenced off and the coyotes will be trapped and killed.
The plan is to kill all the coyotes, not the few aggressive ones. There is no plan to stop the human side of the problem, the feeding of wildlife.

Culls never work. They actually make things worse. Harmless coyotes will die for no reason. The coyote population could end up higher. The humans will keep feeding the animals and the problem will get worse. The increase in skunks, raccoons and foxes could create other worse problems. 
They are deliberately destabilizing an ecosystem. Who knows what will happen.

All that being said, culls are brutal and they don't say much about us as a species. An animal bothers us and we wipe out all members of the species in the area. 
We don't look so good if you look at it that way. Of course we have been known to do that with other humans too.
Maybe we should remove the humans from the park. All the other species were getting along.
