Chubby raccoon stuck in the roof

A rather chubby raccoon was spotted stuck in a roof. Only the back feet were visible. Somehow the raccoon found a small hole in a roof and forced  itself in and got stuck.  It took a team of concerned people to do it, but after much work they got the raccoon free. It really was very fat and furry. After all those hours of hanging head down with its feet sticking out it looked pretty rough. It was glad to be free and it eventually went on its way.

This didn't actually happen in Toronto, but it is still one of our Trash Pandas. They get into the craziest places.  You might think that this raccoon will never go near a roof again. I think next time it will make the hole bigger so it doesn't get stuck. They are way too clever. The longer they live around people the smarter they get.

I can understand a raccoon wanting to get into an attic through the roof. I still don't know why a raccoon climbed a construction crane.  That one is a mystery.
He was there when the operator arrived in the morning.
