The Great Barrier Reef is spawning

The Great Barrier Reef is going through a massive spawning event. It is an explosion of colour and life. After the serious bleaching of the corals the reef looked like it was in danger. This is a strong sign of recovery.

Why do I feel like nature everywhere is recovering because we have been out of the picture due to pandemic restrictions.
This is really good news. The Great Barrier Reef is a major ecological feature. Losing it would have been catastrophic. This spawning is a sign that it is ready to regrow what has been lost. I hope that means that other coral reefs will start to recover too.
