Cat missing two years suddenly returns home.

In November 2020, 8-year-old Q-tip went missing one day. She was never seen again. No one spotted her. She was just gone. 
It is now November 2022 and one morning Q-tip just walked through the door as if nothing had happened. She was very casual about it as if no time had passed. 
Her people were overjoyed to see her. They had given up all hope. The now ten-year-old cat is back as if she had never been away.

Q-tip is a cat. Maybe this is some kind of cat practical joke. Or else she took an overly long cat nap.
It makes as much sense as any other explanation. If she was living somewhere else, why would she suddenly come home? Why would she leave in the first place?
I think cats will always be a mystery. We will never really know what they are up to.
