Last pictures of pets as we say good bye

Some people took pictures of their final moments with their pets. 
The images are sadly beautiful. Even though the end is hard, it can be a very beautiful time. It is a last chance to let a pet know how much we love them and to let them show us their love.

I have never taken a picture of me with a pet at the end, but I photographed a cat just before she died. Her people couldn't get back in time, but seeing her looking so peaceful in her last moments was a real comfort to them. Remembering how peaceful a pets passing was is a comfort. Even if we are sad they are gone, at least we can be comforted by how peaceful they were in the end.
