Why did the chicken take the TTC

There is a long line of videos of animals that ride the Toronto Transit System. TTC.
Raccoons and pigeons are regular users.
This time it was a chicken. Someone with a pet chicken let it roam freely while they were riding.

Chickens can ride the transit system, but they are not allowed to roam through the train.
Why would you let you chicken roam freely on a moving train? Where would you be going with a pet chicken?

I fully expect to see a Llama on the train some day or a pet pig.
