London Ontario Hospital killing dogs for research project

St Joseph's Hospital in London Ontario has been doing heart research on puppies and adult dogs.
The dogs are brought in secretly and they are killed in the end.

It sounds particularly cruel. This is not a research facility, it is a regular hospital. The fact that they are sneaking to dogs in tell you they know they are wrong.

Scientists are reacting to the news about the hospital using dogs. They do question the value of using animals in research.

We already know that animal research is questionable and there are other methods.
It just isn't clear why the hospital has chosen to do this. I hope the publicity is enough to stop them.

It seems that the publicity has worked.
The research lab has shut down and no more dogs will be brought in.

Homes will be found for the dogs that are already there.

Publicity is a powerful thing when it is used  for good. It is saving the lives of these dogs.
