Manitoba proposes hunting of Tundra Swans and Mourning Doves.
#1
AngryManitoba is wanting to open up the hunting of Tundra Swans and Mourning Doves.
They think the populations are strong enough to sustain hunting. Angry

Why would they even consider the hunting of swans? The Tundra Swans have reasonable numbers, however they share territory with Trumpeter Swans whose numbers are still low. Some Trumpeter Swans will be killed because it is hard to tell them apart when you are planning to kill them.
Swans are not popular as a food so really  people just want to kill something.
Mourning Doves are a gentle bird. They are really not big enough to be a food source. Why would anyone want to kill a dove of any kind.
The Mourning Doves have a soft mournful cooing sound. I sometimes have them in my garden.
I would drop any friend who would kill a dove.
I can't believe Manitoba would even consider this. Angry
