This is a really beautiful, moving story about Miss Effie. So glad she got some loving kindness in the end and the respect she deserved.

But after fighting for a ban on battery cages....now we have to start fighting those 'enriched/Colony' cages, which appear to be only one small step removed from the Battery horrors!

What a sweet beautiful story. I hope it inspires more people to rescue hens.
I am sorry to hear that the colony cages are not much better that the battery cages. Banning one horror and putting in another is not much in the way of progress.
