#1
I am actually a day late, but it is still worth taking note of the day.
Lots of events are planned for sat and Sun anyhow.

World Wildlife Federation has compiled ten facts about Polar Bears.

They are such magnificent creatures. It would be heartbreaking if human induced climate change was their downfall.

They are, indeed, wonderful creatures. We must do what we can to help them.

Having a day where we acknowledge them is a start. Public awareness is part of saving their habitat. If they have somewhere to live they will survive just fine. The bears in the captive breeding programs are mostly orphans or their offspring. These are bears that would have died. Maybe some day we will return their offspring to the wild.

At least they are alive and serve to remind people that the Polar Bears need us.
