What an amazing story of Thandi's survival, and on top of that, becoming a mother to such a healthy looking calf.
The poor girl to have had to go through that trauma. Rhino horn poaching is so very horrific and very stupid too.
No matter who says what -there is NO MEDICINAL BENEFIT from drinking potions made with Rhino horn! It is nothing but quack medicine and superstition!

Rhino horns are really just "finger nails". So why don't the people who think it will help their health just chew their own nails and leave the Rhinos alone.

Where do these stupid ideas come from? There are all kinds of odd remedies(like bear gall bladder) that make no sense.

Eating a good healthy balanced diet would benefit someone and not cause such animal suffering. Surely eating something that has come from the cruelty of animal poaching has got to have some kind of negative effect. On some level the person knows they are the cause of a Rhino dying. If it doesn't bother them, it should!

It is so wonderful to see Thandi happy with her new calf. She is a beautiful mother.
