The Toronto Zoo has lots of animals that eat lots of food. So they have lots of poop! There is now a plan to build a plant that turns that poop into energy.
It is a "green" source of energy and believe me, I visit the zoo and it is renewable. Animal manure is one thing zoos never run out of.

There are other zoos in the world doing this, but Toronto Zoo is the first in Canada.
Just a thought, one of the big problems of agriculture is the vast amounts of waste produced. I contaminates water and does harm to the ecosystems. What if it were used to create a green source of energy?
By the way, I have seen the Panda poop and it is green.
