Dog found with mouth taped shut
#1
This is a terrible act of animal cruelty. While taped up the dog would not have been able to eat or drink. It would have been very painful as the tongue was caught between the teeth and the face was swollen. Even though they found her in time and she is getting treatment, Caitlyn still may not survive.

I hope someone knows something and turns the criminal in. I wouldn't want a monster like that living in my neighbourhood.

The dog is in great pain. The one who did that surely doesn't have a heart. How can he do that to a dog. I hope they will catch that criminal.

The reward is quite large so someone will turn him in. People like that probably don't have loyal friends. Also the guy is going to boast about it. He will tell someone. Or maybe the place he bought the tape will remember something. They will catch him. I like the idea of 5 years in jail for this act of cruelty It sends a good message.

oh poor Caitlyn. Poor little Soul. Thank goodness somebody found her and got help for her. The thing is with dogs, they will forgive so quickly. And their ability to forgive is NOT linked to any lack of intelligence.

How could anyone fail to see those things in a dog? How could anyone hurt someone like Caitlyn?

Caitlyn already looks like a happy dog. Even though she is still hurting, she is clearly still very loving. Dog are very forgiving and I think that is a sign that they are intelligent. They are too smart to waste their lives holding grudges.

She is a better person than the man who did this to her.

She is a lovely girl. I'm so glad things are working out for her and she can put the trauma behind her. I feel that dogs are here to help us become better people if only we will listen. They bring us a truth but some can't hear it.

Very perceptive, Catherine! Like button

As for the human who did this, karma has his number. No need for grudges. The Universe has its own self-correcting mechanism. The main thing is that the poor dog gets better and gets on with her life in a loving environment in future.

You will be happy to know that they have arrested the man that did this to Caitlyn.

I don't know which charges will stick, but he is going to be charged.

The bail is fairly high.
If you look at the pictures, the vet's bill are going to be even higher.
It took a minute to figure it out, but they are doing some kind of laser treatment and they have been using a hyperbaric chamber.

The video explains her treatment. She is going to make a full recovery with just a small amount of her tongue being removed.
She is sweet and everybody loves her.

The man who did this, his karma has already turned bad.

Believe it or not, I just found another case of a dog having his mouth taped shut. A neighbour called the police and reported it and the dog has been permanently rescued from the owners.

With the hot weather coming it will be dangerous and cruel to do this to a dog. With all the publicity these cases are getting why are people still doing it!

This one involves a puppy whose mouth was taped for days and it had not had food or water. The owner is being charged.

The fact that I keep finding other stories tells me there is a big problem. What are people thinking?

I don't know. Humans can be crazy sometimes. I also found this about Caitlyn from another site: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/06/03/sou...aped-shut/

Thank goodness the bail is set at $50,000. He won't be able to afford that, no doubt. That means he will have to face full consequences and stay put in jail. Let's hope he doesn't get let off lightly for torturing a dog. That dog would certainly have died a slow painful death if she hadn't been found.
I hope her treatments work well, and she will continue to improve.
