An Air Canada pilot flying to Toronto realized that the heater in his cargo hold had failed. He knew he had a dog in that hold and without heat the dog would probably die. He diverted to a nearby airport where the dog was transferred to a different plane. The dog made the flight safely in the new plane. The owner made the flight safely in the old plane and they were reunited in Toronto.

You have to commend a pilot who cared enough for the life of a dog to interrupt his flight so the dog would be safe. Passengers accepted the delay when they learned that a dog's life was at stake. The owner is very grateful that his beloved pet was safe. The dog was happy to see its owner again.
Sometimes there really are happy endings.
