I am sure many parts of the world have their own news makers. These are the ones from my own area. If anyone finds a list from somewhere else, please post it.
It is interesting to see what animals have been up to this year.

Some of the stories had happy endings and some did not. Some like the Baboon issue are not over yet.
I think the oddest is the racoon climbing a construction crane. What was the little guy thinking.
The dead racoon story was happy sad. He was already dead, but for some reason people wanted to make his passing. I think we are aware of how much wildlife dies in the city every year and we feel bad about it.
The peacock on the loose was the most exciting and in the end he flew home.
It has been a busy year for animals.
