They are so cool looking and have great personalities, too. I especially like the Chameleon and how they change colors according to their mood and the environment. I know that all kinds of pets are loveable and lizards are too therefore!

Lizards are quiet too. It is night and my little geckos are creeping around their tank and eating their special gecko food. All I hear is the rustling of the silk plants. The baby beardies are already asleep.
One big plus for reptiles is the fact that you don't need to walk them in bad weather. I can stay in with my reptile and enjoy the warmth.
They come in cool colours too.

I have seen gecko food when I used to buy newt food many years ago. Do you have to have heating elements for the lizards? I imagine their set up is very pretty.

I don't use the "hot rocks" and heating pads. I use heat lights and florescent lights depending on what type of reptile. Some are happy at room temperature, others need very intense heat. I try to do my set ups to match my lizards needs.
I feed crickets to everyone, but I also have a powdered gecko mix. When I mix it with water most of my lizards eat it.
I have six lizard tanks for a dozen kinds of lizards. Each set up is specially designed. Some of my lizards are rescues and damaged so I have done their set ups to accommodate their needs. It is a challenge to get things right.
