The world's saddest polar bear has died
#1
I am sure you all remember signing petitions to get Arturo the polar bear moved to better conditions. Sadly the Mendoza zoo in Argentina refused to move him. He died alone and unhappy at the age of thirty. Smiley19

At least, sad as his death is, it is an end to his even sadder life.

The zoo is rehoming all its animals and sending them to better place. If only Arturo could have had even a short time in a better place. Smiley19
We can only hope that his spirit runs free and wild and knows peace for the first time.

Poor Arturo. I suppose the idea to move him was prevented because of money. That is usually what motivates such things.

I am so sorry he had to suffer like he did in this world. I also hope he finds love and freedom and peace on the other side. Heart

I am sure if they had asked, we would all have donated the money needed to move him. I don't know why they were so stubborn. Arturo symbolizes a time when animals were imprisoned to make money. I am sure there were place he could have been moved to.

I know there is a polar bear sanctuary in northern Ontario.

It is sad what happened to him. There are still animals living in bad conditions. Hopefully we can get them moved before they die like Arturo.
