Loneliest elephant in the world dies.

The loneliest elephant, living alone in a concrete box/pen, has died at the age of 69.  There were petitions to have her moved or at least have her conditions improved, but she died before anything could be done for her.

It is sad to think of this intelligent creature living her life out under such bleak conditions. If only they had given her some freedom and some life. Instead she died without ever knowing life.
