Animal Defenders Indonesia is a non-profit organization set up in the year 2011. Before that all of the founders have each been involved in their own rescue activities however uncoordinated it was. The main orientation for ADI is rescuing, education and adoption program.
Our rescue activities are still very limited as our facility or shelter has a limited occupancy space. All of our rescues are based on the urgency level of each case. Educating all those who cared enough to report any cases to ADI (Animal Defenders Indonesia) is an on-going and will always be a continued effort. We keep advising everyone to fight, stand-up, and don’t give up easily; in the never ending process of better animal welfare. We ask everyone to think and imagine without prioritizing cases, all those who are bored or said that they can’t keep their pet because the pet is too old or had an accident or just had babies therefore they can’t keep them anymore – a 3Ha land and 100 volunteers will never be enough, that being too kind, 100 volunteers.
Currently, we are preparing a new place, to be able to accommodate and help more dogs and cats. This new place, leased $4,371 / year, not including the preparation of a cage in it and various infrastructure required to be able to care for and maintain them.
This place also we will be free to accept the filing of volunteering friends who want to help / assignment college / school, and leisure time, even helping a friend who want to interact with cats and dogs because they were not allowed keeping animals at home.
One of the goals of this place is also prepared for the rehabilitation function, if there are children, male / female adults with special needs and who are advised to have a special closeness and interaction with dogs cats for physical and mental healing process, we have prepared a special area.
Target funds needed is around $6,000. This figure is dynamic due to the development needs of the place will run over time and needs.
