Raccoon teamwork

I know raccoons are clever, I just didn't realize that they are so helpful to each other.

I can understand on raccoon trying to pull another up. It is the third raccoon holding the other while she pulls the baby up that I find remarkable.

They were clever enough to plan the rescue together. I am increasingly  impressed by raccoons. They are clever, social and they look out for each other.

Which is also why we can't defeat them in the garbage can wars.

That's so clever, they certainly were determined that they were going to get their baby up that wall, very cute.

My neighbour had a mama raccoon and her babies on the roof. The babies climbed down to the balcony and then they were stuck.


Mama raccoon was above calling to them.


One raccoon figured out what to do.


The other little guy was lost. He had no idea how to get back up.


I think he was going to try going down.


He nearly fell.


Mama and the sibling got busy calling him.


He seemed to get the idea that he had to climb up.


One raccoon actually climbed down to encourage him.


With help he climbed back up and so did the other raccoon.


Then away they went together over the rooftops.


I love our raccoons.
