Many schools have classroom pets. All through the school year they have their place in the classroom and are much loved. Now that school is out the classroom pets are being dispersed to various homes.

For some it will be a quiet rest. For others it will be a time of missing all the attention they are used to.
These little pets give so much to the students in their classrooms. I am sure that for some children it is a first chance to actually have a pet around.
School pets deserve recognition for the good they do. Many children are better for their encounter with the school pet.
We need a national school pet day.
