Canadian photojournalist Jo-Anne McArthur has been working for the last 20 years to photograph animals in sad circumstances of neglect, exploitation or systematic misuse.
She has gathered it all together into a book, We Animals.

She is from my home town of Winnipeg so I am proud of her. I haven't seen the book, but it will be one that is well work looking for.
She has two other books coming out soon. Pictures have the power to reach people in a way words cannot. I am glad she has chosen to use her talents for animals. They need her help very much.
