Head of animal shelter jailed for killing healthy animals

The director of a Spanish animal shelter has been sentenced to 3 years and nine months in jail for killing over 2000 healthy animals. He also killed them in a way that was very cruel and painful.
This sends an very strong message to people who run shelters. It is not acceptable to just kill healthy animals. It is never okay to cause suffering while euthanizing animals.

The sentence is a start, but it is not even one day in jail for each animal he killed.
